Keith Berger is the Founder and CEO of Oodles Energy. As such, Mr. Berger is responsible for the overall direction, growth, and operations of Oodles. Prior to founding Oodles, Keith spent the past 10 years in the Private Equity sector, where he worked as a turnaround specialist focusing on high growth situations. Oodles is Keith’s second startup having co-founded a Solar EPC, Velo Solar, in 2014 with a successful exit in 2017. Keith began his career at GE as a superalloy metallurgist and at Booz Allen in the Operations Strategy practice.
Keith has been a director of multiple growth companies include OnePath (sold to MSouth) and Blisk, a UV air sterilizer startup, as well as the Oxford Center for Entrepreneurs in Atlanta.
Keith has undergraduate degrees in Mechanical and Materials Engineering, an MS in Metallurgy, and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at NYU.
Paul Efron serves as both the Lead Investor and Chairman of the Board. Paul was a General Partner of Goldman Sachs in the Investment Banking Division and retired from his role as Advisory Director at the end of 2022 after 38 years with the firm. Notably, Paul acted as the lead advisor to The Ford Motor Company for 15 years executing many of the company’s most important transactions during this period (including designing the $23B financing which kept Ford out of bankruptcy during the Global Financial Crisis of 2007-2010). He also served for 20 years on the Firmwide Capital Committee which reviews the firm’s capital commitments and complex underwritings.
Paul is/has been a director of growth companies including Insomnia Cookies (sold to Krispy Kreme), Survey.com (sold to Trax Inc.), Bionic Sight and the battery recycling company Ecobat.
Paul served as Chairman of the Board of his alma mater, Pomona College, and received his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
With over a decade of expertise in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, Bill Soule is currently serving as the Vice President of Marketing as well as overseeing the Sales team. His career has been dedicated to driving the transition to electric transportation, collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders including OEMs, agencies, auto dealerships, municipalities, and utilities.
Throughout his career, Bill has demonstrated a deep commitment to advancing EV adoption through innovative programs and initiatives. He has played a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic plans to enhance EV charging infrastructure, spearheading education and training campaigns for prominent automotive brands such as Toyota, Volkswagen, Kia, Mercedes, and Nissan.
Bill's extensive knowledge of federal, state, and utility incentives and rebates has been instrumental in facilitating the widespread adoption of electric vehicles. In recent years, he has focused his efforts on site host acquisition for EV charging stations, leveraging his expertise to drive impactful results in this critical aspect of EV infrastructure development.
Carolyn Smith is a seasoned leader with experience managing teams of more than 300 people and budgets in excess of $200M in a global environment. She has 15+ years of successful construction experience providing leadership on commercial projects for major companies across the US as well as in China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Turkey, the UK, Germany, Mexico, and Canada. She leveraged her deep organizational skills and focus on details to deliver complex projects in unfamiliar environments on-time and on-budget.
As part of a team focused on integration at Change Healthcare both as part of a VC investment and later as part of an acquisition by United Healthcare Group, she delivered $20M in direct annual savings over two consecutive years through strong change management skills and leadership.
Carolyn is an Army veteran with experience in the development of key response strategies that drove Legislative and Executive branch policy decisions in complex combat environments.
Carolyn has a BS in Political Science from Arizona State University and a Masters Degree in National Security Studies from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
Reynaldo Calzadilla serves as the Director of Engineering of Oodles Energy. As such, Mr. Calzadilla leads the identification, integration, and implementation of new technologies into Oodles’ product portfolio. He also operates to assess current and future EV charging requirements to provide a tailored approach to each solution.
Prior to Oodles Energy, Reynaldo worked extensively in the public utilities sector, performing various roles from project manager to lead engineer. He consistently delivers projects on time and under budget while developing innovative, efficiency driven processes that are used as foundational building blocks on subsequent projects.
Reynaldo has an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida and an MS in Electrical Engineering from University of Central Florida. Reynaldo is a licensed professional engineer and practices in the state of Florida.
JE Penicaud is a seasoned serial entrepreneur. With a passion for innovation and a keen business acumen, Jean-Eric has successfully co-founded and led several ventures, driving their growth and success.
In 2008, Jean-Eric co-founded survey.com, a disruptive technology platform revolutionizing how emerging food and beverage brands compete in retail. As a Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, he played a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategy, operations, and overall growth. Survey.com sold the company to Trax retail in February 2020.
Following the acquisition, Jean-Eric continued his journey with Trax retail, assuming the role of Vice President of Retail. Leveraging his deep understanding of the industry and his entrepreneurial spirit, he contributed to Trax retail's strategic initiatives, driving growth and fostering innovation within the organization.
Before his entrepreneurial endeavors, Jean-Eric honed his skills and expertise in the technology and consulting sector. He served as a technology consultant at Accenture, and held a managerial position at Arthur Anderson's Global Research and Innovations Boston Group, where he led cutting-edge research projects and fostered innovation.
Jean-Eric is a graduate of Connecticut College, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Economics.
